The heart of the community is St Mary's church, the village also has two pubs, one with a restaurant, a primary school, a preschool, a farm/butcher's shop and numerous clubs and societies. It is a short walk to Sainsburys supermarket. Local secondary schools are The Nobel School and Barnwell Lower and Upper Schools.
