To the front of The Barn is a large enclosed gravelled area which creates parking for several vehicles and provides access to the double garage and single garage. Various shrubs and flowering plants combine to complement this area and a 5-bar gate to the side allows vehicular access to the period storage barn, grounds and paddock to the rear of the property.
The gardens and grounds provide an idyllic setting for the house and to the rear. The meticulously maintained lawn is inset with various trees and contains an ornamental pond edged by various water plants and spanned by a decorative wooden bridge. A split level patio to the rear of the house together with an adjoining decked area overlooking the pond provides a superb al fresco dining/relaxation space and serves as an excellent vantage point from which to enjoy the view and the evening sunsets. Beyond the extensive area of lawn is a post and rail fenced paddock accessed via a 5-bar gate and an adjoining area of meadow.
To the side of the house is a delightful sunken garden that enjoys a high degree of shelter and an open fronted summer house providing additional dining/relaxation space. A machinery store is located at the rear of the summer house and may be reached via a beech lined pathway leading alongside the sunken garden away from the patio area.
