The sandy beaches of Saunton, Croyde and Putsborough are within easy reach of Lee Manor and the Exmoor National Park and coast provide wide opportunity for walking and riding. The Tarka Tennis centre and North Devon Leisure centre are found in Barnstaple with golf available at Saunton.

Schooling is available in Ilfracombe, Braunton and Barnstaple as well as West Buckland School for which there is a bus service within three miles of Lee Manor.

The A361 is within three miles at Mullacott Cross, which leads to the North Devon Link Road at Barnstaple and with easy access to the M5 motorway. Lee Manor -

Introduction - Lee Manor overlooks the village of Lee with wonderful far- reaching sea views over Lee Bay and over the Bristol Channel beyond and is set within 20.39 acres (8.25 hectares) of grounds and ancient woodland. Historical Note - Lee Manor was built in 1896 for the Squire of Lee, Charles Bernard Mervyn Drake Cutliffe. The Squires daughter Avice, tapped the ceremonial foundation stone, inscribed with her initials N.A.D.C. As it was laid over a silver coin of the same year. The house was completed in 1898 and Squire Drake Cutliffe is buried in the family vault at Ilfracombe.

The House - A Gothic-style timber door opens into an impressive Entrance Porch with original tiled floor, stained glass windows and exposed stone walls, one of which bears the Drake Cutliffe coat of arms. An inner lobby opens into the magnificent Reception Hall with an open stone fireplace, part wood flooring and triple transom stone mullioned stained glass window. A feature is the impressive double minstrel gallery and wide three tiered staircase.

The L-shaped Drawing Room has a fireplace housing a wood burning stove and French Doors to the garden, with wonderful views to the sea. The spacious dual-aspect Dining Room has an unused fireplace with ornate carved timber screen whilst the adjoining Study also has French Doors to the garden.

The Kitchen is fitted with a range of units under granite work surfaces with a double Belfast Sink and a two-oven oil fired Aga with an accompanying electric cooker, also with two ovens and hob over. Lee Manor Farm - Lee Manor Farm occupies a stunning location with an uninterrupted outlook towards the sea.

The farm was previously home to the well-regarded Lee Manor Herd of Pedigree Red Ruby Devon cattle and includes a beautifully finished barn conversion called Farriers End and a traditional stone Shepherds Barns, all set within 68.59 acres (27.76 hectares) of pasture land and mature ancient woodland.

Farriers End - Farriers End is a detached split level house which was cleverly converted from a traditional stone barn. The pasture is currently used for grazing cattle and is well divided by attractive Devon bank hedges, which contain a wonderful variety of wild flowers, including honeysuckle, wild roses, primroses, wild orchids, foxgloves, bluebells and violets. The farm has been re-fenced and all of the fields have access to a mains water supply. One field is bordered by a stream and there are two natural ponds.

The woodland is classified as ancient woodland and provides a natural habitat for flora, including bluebells and orchids in the spring months, and a wealth of wildlife. The trees are mostly mature and deciduous, with a stream flowing along the eastern boundary. The woodland is protected by a tree preservation order.
