Description

We are delighted to be able to offer for sale Black Bunting Wood and Travellers Wood, forming part of the woodland surrounding Cranmore Tower and extending to approximately 17.96 acres in total.

The woodland predominantly comprises mature Beech trees with a handful of mature evergreen varieties.

Access to the woodland is via a right of way over a hardcore track that leads from a small area close to the public highway that is used by walkers for car parking. The Title to the woodland includes the access track to the east and south of the woodland.

A felling licence was granted by the Forestry Commission in November 2023 to allow the clearance of approximately 6.6 acres of the woodland, with a view to encouraging more diverse growth, alongside the restocking of the cleared area with a variety of stock. A copy of the licence is available on request.

The vendor has made us aware that there is an area of Japanese Knotweed in the area that we are selling. He is in the process of taking advice and we will update interested parties accordingly.

Rights of Way

The track running along the eastern boundary, known as Furzeclose Lane, is a public bridleway. There is a public footpath that runs along western boundary. The neighbouring woodland and Cranmore Tower have a right of way over the access tracks to the east and south.

Completion has been set for Thursday 10th July 2025 or earlier by arrangement.

Registering to bid and Administration fee
