The property was originally a farmstead which dates back to the 1890’s. Its current owners restored the property and have maintained it in excellent condition as a much-loved family summer residence.
The House
The accommodation of the house is spread over two floors with sitting room, dining room and kitchen found on the ground floor, leading out onto the dining loggia. There is also a WC and laundry room on this floor. The rooms to this floor boast high vaulted ceilings and charming original features such as the pizza oven in the dining room and large fireplace in the sitting room.
On the first floor the rooms are distributed excellently providing ample accommodation for a large family and/or several guests. One finds a study, five double bedrooms, four of which have en-suite bathrooms, and one twin bedroom with separate shower room. The style of the bedrooms is both traditional Tuscan with the exposed beams and terracotta floors whilst modern comforts are provided with bathrooms replaced in 2015 and air-conditioning for use during the summer months.
The Grounds
Beautifully landscaped gardens surrounded the property with wonderful views to be enjoyed across the breath-taking countryside and towers of San Gimignano in the distance. There is a large swimming pool, 7m x 14m, with an infinity edge set away from the house, surrounded by a terracotta sunbathing area. The large shaded loggia serves as a further living space for the summer months with both a dining and seating area.
Location
The property is located close to several villages and towns for shopping, services and dining out. Florence can also be reach easily, either by car or by train, in approx. 30/40 mins and both Pisa and Florence airports are approx. 1 hour by car.
